Oliver Butts was in Pawling in 1790 as 1-1-1 and was
next to Joseph Draper and Azariah Howland. Oliver Butts
was a witness to the will of John Hoag of Oblong dated
30th Dec. 1790. [DCW A:294]. He may have been father or
brother to Phebe Butts who m. Joseph Fish, see below.

2nd son John 12 pounds to be paid by son Oliver
3rd son Oliver 100 acres E ½ of lot 9, con 3 of Nelson,
wife Phebe her support by son Oliver if she resides on the premises mentioned
– executors do not take out letters of admin – Margaret Butts of Nelson widow of Oliver Butts the younger late of the same place deceased takes out the letters of Admin
